Crawley began the 2008 Sussex League season by travelling away to bitter rivals Brighton at the Prince Regent on friday April 4th. They came home with a battled 13-10 win after a thrilling encounter.

Through the first three quarters there was no more than a goal either way in this contest. With the score at 8-8 going into the last quarter Crawley held their nerve, as Brighton crumbled and Crawley established a clear lead to win 13-10.

Crawley goals from Cook, Roy, R Woodman, Wheatley, Bartholomew, Lindsay and Partridge.
