The pool will feature moving floors to allow for a deep pool diving area, easy access for people of all abilities and shallow water for learner classes and parents and children groups. There will also be retractable screens installed to block off areas of the pool and changing rooms to enable ethnic minorities to swim in accordance with their religion. A 15-metre training pool, a poolside sauna and steam area and beach hut will all be part of the complex

The pool will be fitted with a very high specification timing system including touchpads and starting blocks fitted with inbuilt relay break and start reaction sensors at both ends of the pool and topped off with an impressive LED Full Matrix display, which outside of competitions can be used to display animations, advertisements and public information.

With London as the hosts of the 2012 Olympiad, The K2 pool at Crawley has already been ear-marked for one of the training venues for the Olympic team.
